Week # 2 is finished!

I seriously cannot believe I've been here for two weeks already. I have been feeling so lousy with these allergies all I've been doing is work or sleep. I come back to the hotel about 6:30 am and we have breakfast. Then I go to sleep. I wake up in time to get ready for work and to go to the priority club place here for appetizers. They have a "Happy Hour" here every evening for their platiunum club members. So I take advantage of the food to grab a bite to eat before leaving for the office. A couple times I've woke in time to go to the steam room. It really helps when I do.. the steam seems to calm the conjestion a bit. I even hit the treadmill once for 15 minutes. Awwww well... I guess I'll have to work on getting back to my walking when I get home.

The smog has not been so bad here. Coming out of work in the morning is usually the worse. And it's only smelled of smoke twice. If you ever look at the weather forcast for Gurgaon on weatherchannel.com you will frequently see the weather comment "Smoke".

That Smoke is interesting. Because living in southern California, we annually have our fires and have smelled "smoke" many times. So my first trip, I thought they were having fires in the area. I arrived at Ghandi International Airport and Yep! Smelled smoke! So I asked how close the fires were. That's when they said it was polution!

Today I went to Delhi shopping for a Saree. I was going to get a lahnga, which looks like it is a saree when all put together, but is really separate pieces. I mean... who is going to wrap me when I'm home! But when we went to the store to look at them they were VERY expensive. So I purchased traditional saree material. Guess they will have to wrap me up here at the hotel.

Wednesday is Preeti's wedding, and I'll be wearing my saree! I'll take lots of pictures if I don't get so exited about what is going on that I forget!

I took my camera with me to Delhi shopping, but was so interested in the shopping I didn't even remember about a camera. Too bad because that was quite the experience.

Then Saturday night I spoke at a Bible Study for the ladies at the church I attend here in Gurgaon. We talked about feelings and emotions. Both of which have no country or language barrier! They shared their weaknesses with some of the emotions that they have and I know that God did some healing. God is so faithful.

Speaking of prayer. I heard from my brother and my sister-in-law is going in for lumpectomy followed by radiation on Monday. I appreciate your prayers for her.

More later... I promise! I'm feeling better so will not be sleeping so much that I don't get online!

Be blessed!
