Papa Bear, Momma Bear & Baby Bear

A cute memory:

After working all night, when we arrived at the hotel it was frequent we were a little goofy. And one night as our driver pulled our laptop cases out of the car Julie named them "Papa Bear" for Angie's biggest case; "Momma Bear" for my middle sized case; and "Baby Bear" for her smallest case. We laughed, our driver smiled and off we went into the hotel. It became a common conversation about the bear names and each time gave the three of us a chuckle.

One day before leaving for the office, I decided to go ahead downstairs to the lobby just to walk around a bit. I went up to the door where one of the big Punjabi doorman greeted me. Thinking I was late and Julie and Angie were waiting for me, I quickly asked "Is our car here? Am I late?".

The doorman got a concerned look on his face and stumbled for the right English words. Finally he looked down and said "Papa Bear and Baby Bear". I realized that he didn't know how to express Julie's and Angie's names, but had heard our frequent referral to our cases! It was so cute! I didn't realize he didn't speak that much English! But he certainly got the point across that I was the first to arrive and Julie and Angie hadn't come down yet. It was so cute!

What a great memory!
