Finally I think my body is getting used to sleeping during the daylight hours! One of the things I discovered was that the "decaf" coffee here isn't the same, it's not as completely decafinated. And so all those days that I didn't sleep... well that could be one reason. So I stopped having coffee at dinner and it has been better! There has also been some construction going on here at the hotel on my floor - but none today! And they have weekly window washing. So being on the top floor I hear the ropes for the scafolds, and of course the swish swish of the washing - but none today! Housekeeping has FINALLY gotten it in their records not to call me to see when they can do their room! So there were NO interruptions and I SLEPT! Awww the small things in life can sure make a big different.
Yesterday I sent this blog to the India staff. It will be interesting to see their comments!
Training is going well, and I have started making an effort to really learn the pronouncation of their names. And they are teaching Julie and I a few Hindi words.
When I uploaded the last batch of pictures, they were from Julie's camera, so I've gone in and made a few comments on what the pictures were about.
Speaking of cameras... my batteries went out. So I got out the charger and plugged it into the adaptor here at the hotel. Next day I was looking at the charger and wondered why the light that indicated the charge status wasn't green for complete! It had been over 12 hours. Then it hit me!! The voltage! The voltage here is 220, and so it frys things that do not have a built in converter (like laptops do). One would think I would remember after the power strip issue!! So my charger and batteries are shot. I have to remember to charge things in the bathroom. There is actually a 110 in there. One more thing to be VERY careful about!
The weather is starting to cool off. It is 60 degrees (F) when we get out of work in the morning, so I've had to bring along my sweater. The days are in the 80's. Great weather!
