Friday night, our host took us to the local mall to get some supplies. We also ate at the food court. I ventured out and got some rice & noodle at a Chinese place, Seth and Julie opted for pizza at Sharro. I was laughing that they came all the way to India to eat pizza!
Then we went to the grocery store, which is also at the mall. It is a general store that sells everything - clothing, shoes, jewelry, housewares and groceries. We stocked up on bottled water and snacks. I got some yogurt, granola bars and canned fruit to take in my lunch to the office. Pepsi products are big here, so the water was Aquafina and everything is "Nestles" brand.
Tonight we start training. I can't wait to meet the new hires. And just settling down to a routine will be nice. I can't get my brain around when I will want to sleep. Logically it would seem that my schedule will go something like this...
Leave for office at 8:00 PM
Begin work at 9:00 PM until 6:00 AM
Go back to the hotel and have dinner about 7:00 AM
8:30 AM go to the steam room & sauna
9:30 AM - 4:30 PM sleep
5:00 PM treadmill
6:00 PM eat breakfast & get ready for office
It is odd to put getting ready and traveling to the office. They have a cafeteria there for lunch.
Julie and I were discussing that it seems like every day is actually TWO days. We are thinking about our time here in Gurgaon days but at night is US day. But then it didn't help that Seth and Julie stayed up to watch the Viking game! it came on at 2:30 am here I think. I've been sleeping a lot due to some sinus problems I've been having. So I didn't go out with the group last night. I can't wait to hear what they did. They were going to go back to the general store.
Ok - I had to post about eating pizza in India. It "ain't" your American pizza. You can get a slice of plain cheese and sometimes they will offer pepperoni but that's it. I had the chicken tandori pizza. Spicy!
